- 2 cups gluten-free bread flour substitute (recipe here)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet or 1 scant tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 ¼ cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the gluten-free bread flour substitute and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the warm water, yeast, and honey or maple syrup. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a greased and floured loaf pan.
- Smooth the top of the dough with wet hands or a wet spatula.
- Cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Once the dough has risen, bake it in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
