This gluten-free all-purpose flour substitute can be used as you would regular all-purpose flour or commercial gluten-free baking flour in a recipe. Note that you can either buy rice flour or make your own using our recipe. You can also use this all-purpose flour substitute recipe to make your own gluten-free bread flour using our recipe. DIY Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Substitute Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour (recipe or store-bought)
- ½ cup potato starch
- ¼ cup tapioca flour
(will yield 1 ¾ cups)
OR
- 1 cup almond flour
- ½ cup rice flour (recipe or store-bought)
- ¼ cup potato starch
- ¼ cup tapioca flour
(will yield 2 cups)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ingredients.
- Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Use this mixture as a 1:1 substitute for regular all-purpose flour in your gluten-free recipes. Try out our gluten-free bread recipe.
- Store unused flour in an air-tight container.
