Making rice flour at home is relatively simple. Homemade rice flour can be used in your gluten-free recipes. Keep in mind that homemade rice flour might have a slightly different texture and consistency compared to store-bought rice flour, but it can still work well in a variety of recipes. Instructions
- Start by measuring the amount of rice you need for your recipe. Keep in mind that 1 cup of uncooked rice typically yields about 1 ½ to 1 ¾ cups of rice flour.
- Rinse the raw rice under cold water to remove excess starch. Drain well.
- Spread the rinsed rice on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to dry for about 30 minutes. It shouldn’t be completely dry, but excess moisture should be removed.
